Ta La - Phom - Tala

Tala, Phom Offline (Phom Ta La XoViet) is a Vietnamese Rummy card game known as "Phỏm - Tá Lả," utilizing a standard deck of cards. The main objective of this game is to strategically exchange cards to assemble combinations known as Phom Tala (phỏm) and to minimize the point value of the cards that do not belong to any Phom (phỏm) set. This particular version of Rummy enjoys popularity throughout Vietnam, with a stronger following in the northern provinces of the country. Ta La, Phom Offline accommodates 2 to 4 players, with gameplay optimized for a full table of 4 participants. Each player begins with 9 cards, except for the lead player who receives 10 cards initially, with the remaining deck placed at the center of the table.
